Murphy Tomatoes maintains a focus on environmental and food safety issues. During the summer of 2009, Murphy Tomatoes proudly opened a brand-new 30,000 sq. ft. facility in Southeast San Antonio, the only facility of its kind in the area. This state of the art facility allows Murphy to further control the safety of their product. The entire facility is climate controlled, and all produce is treated with an oxidized wash and chlorine treatment. Additionally, aerocide units throughout the facility purify air and eliminate all airborn pathogens, molds and ethylene gas.
